Grey Sunday Mix by ardisson

This is a short, rough mix I made a while back after playing at the (now sadly closed) Foundry for a disco_r.dance night. It’s all unreleased material, and fairly down tempo. The first half consists of sketches for an album/EP I started while visiting Indonesia to study gamelan a couple of years ago.

This is a mix I made when I was in South Korea last year.  Mostly unreleased tracks and loops from the last 5 years or so, a couple from around 2002.

A while back I did a mix of Balinese music for Spannered.

It’s a load of stuff I’ve got off various CD and MP3 releases, trying to get a good variety of texture etc. because as I’ve said in the blurb a lot of people tend to think Balinese music (mostly gamelan) all sounds the same…and there’s an amazing variety of stuff out there!  This is really just the tip of the iceberg and might well do another more involved one at some point..I’d really like to do a Javanese one next though as that’s where most of the music I listen to at the moment comes from.
