About a million other people are saying the same thing as me, but I just want to record this moment for posterity. Stephen Colbert stood in front of The Press and The President at the White House Correspondents Dinner and absolutely reamed them on just about everything they have or have not done (in character, of course). All done without much applause or laughter from the audience or the folks at the head table, and standing no more than 10 feet from Bush himself.

He delivered Truth with a side order of Reality. Whoever booked him to bring humor to the event is probably going to be fired on short order.

Holy crap does Stephen have some massive huevos.

i just got my online groceries delivered. bougey soap, fresh fruits and vegetables, wine, and microbrews. holy shit man, i'm really glad i live in the future.

I think it would be neat if someone built some sort of online election service that would let non-US residents vote in US presidential elections. The votes wouldn’t count for anything of course, but the winner of the real election could immediately get a sense of how much the rest of the world didn’t want him to win.
